Selenium is a very important trace mineral found in the soil. Selenium has the ability to help our body recycle Glutathione. The main function of Selenium is to inhibit the oxidation of lipids (fats). It protects the immune system by preventing the formation of free radicals. Selenium deficiency has been linked to  cancer and heart disease. It is only in the food "if" it is in the soils where the food is grown. Selenium maps show distribution of the mineral is patchy across the U.S.

According to Dr. Wallach, Selenium reduces the risk of breast cancer by 82%! Yeah....why don't we know about this. Dr. Wallach had to sue the FDA to be able to say this legally. Yes....he won. It doesn't only help support the body's ability to help prevent breast cancer but many other forms of cancer as well. So why not take selenium?
